Digital scanning technology has transformed dentistry by providing accurate, fast, and dependable digital data for diagnosis, treatment planning, and the fabrication of dental prosthetics such as crowns, bridges, and aligners. The advent of digital dentistry resulted in dramatic improvements in impression accuracy, speed, and quality, as well as improved hygiene and patient comfort. The only issue with optical three-dimensional scanners is their high sensitivity to optical properties of scanned surfaces, such as reflective abilities. Scanner errors, incomplete or distorted images can result from the glossiness of teeth or the color surface of impression materials.
Scanspray is a solution to DSI's surface reading limitations. Scanspray forms a remarkably homogeneous and fine layer on the object when applied, with an average coating thickness of less than 5m. The spray film improves the optical properties of the objects, increases surface opacity, and produces uniform light reflection. Scanspray improves scanning accuracy by creating ideal scanning conditions, allowing for highly precise and detailed reproduction of tooth margins and complex geometries. Scanspray eliminates the need for additional scanning or image rework due to distorted images. The precisely designed nozzle ensures precise dosage and cost-effective use. Scanspray works well for both direct (intraoral) and indirect (model) applications. It is completely safe to use in the oral cavity and is easily removed with water. DSI created Scanspray with no discernible odor or taste to provide patients with an even more gentle and comfortable experience.

Scan Spray | DF-11147med |
Indication
- Surface matting of teeth and crowns intraorally prior to digital optical imprints (intraoral scan).
- Denture fit and friction control intraoral.
- Extraoral matting of the dental model (prior to scanning in the lab).
Application
- Place the dispenser with integrated atomizer onto the can's valve.
- Shake the can vigorously before using.
- Surfaces to be matted should be thoroughly cleaned and dried.
- Request that the patient take a deep breath and then stop breathing.
- Apply the spray evenly and sparingly to the matted areas, using short spray jets at a distance of approx. 3-5 cm. (Be careful not to apply too many layers at once).
- Allow the patient to exhale and repeat the procedure if necessary.
- Take a standard exposure with the 3D camera.
- After scanning, thoroughly rinse the patient.
- The dispenser should be replaced after each use.
