The surface is cleaned and etched from calcium particles with an organic acid of low concentration. It does not change the titanium surface pattern while achieving a uniform surface homogenous pore diameter and larger BIC. β-TCP is a resorbable material, often used for synthetic bone grafting. It's completely dissolved and replaced by new bone formations.
